When my son found out today that I was speaking in a place called, "Effingham", he wanted to know if this is where they make up new "F-words" (Curse words).
Well after rising at 4:30 in the morning to make the 3 hour trip from Chicago to downstate Illinois, I found an group that was very interested in building businesses. I spoke to a diverse audience including several Amish that have businesses in the area. It was a lively audience. Later the morning, I spoke in a breakout session on the 10 mistakes that most entrepreneurs make ( I have made all of them at least twice).
I’d be interested to hear more about the Amish businesses and the Amish entrepreneurs, as the largest Amizh population in the world is about a 20 minute drive from me. That’s an interesting niche.
