I received a direct mail piece that stated on the envelope in bold letters:

When it comes to financial stability, it helps to be led by one of the world’s most successful businessmen

The letter from a Vice President at Geico Insurance goes on to say how successful Geico has been since Warren Buffet bought the company in 1996. It has become the “3rd largest private passenger auto insurance company” (that’s alot of narrow qualifiers).

What I find most interesting about the direct mail promotion is that it sells builds of the Warren Buffet brand of being a successful investor and does not until much later in the letter tout the benefits of Geico.

When financial stability of every company is on our mind, I guess Warren Buffet is a good one to lean on.
