Maki and Curtis, Small Business, Inc
I spoke last week at the Branch County Business Venture Expo in Coldwater Creek, Michigan. This was the first year where they brought together high school students, college students and business people interested in starting a business.
I met dozens of entrepreneurs especially a very energetic Sandi Maki and Allan Curtis of the Insights Group who made this video of me right after the presentation. I loved the energy they had. I liked their web site even more. They say they are a combination business and community center. I think this should describe most small businesses.

I love what they are doing there. There is a foundational lack of understanding of leadership, strategy, and results based actions.
Very few things will teach you more about life than truly learning how to run a business.
EVERY student should get this opportunity!
