Save Us Soon

People email me all the time  asking me to take a look at their business or their business plan. I help where I can. Some people even ask me to invest. I received a fascinating email from one entrepreneur that said:

“Since you are not interested in investing, I would like to ask you to consider going to www.saveussoon.com to make a donation to our for profit fundraiser to help with an immediate need.”

When you click through the founder asks:

“I want to thank all of you for your interest in helping us through these tough circumstances. Your donation is going to go a long way in saving our company from closing before it was able to get up and running…We have put alot of time and money into getting started only to hit a financial wall with a company due to their breach of contract. Everything that is raised through this “for-profit” fundraiser will be later donated to a “non-profit” organization once we are up and running and become profitable.”

This is really creative. There is nothing wrong with asking for any kind of help you can get. What I like is that the CEO states that when they are profitable, he will donate the money to a worthy charity.

What do you think of this approach?

  1. Found you today. Happy I did.

This guy is very bold. Not sure I could get behind helping them back away from a wall with so little info, of course, I haven’t checked out their main site carefully, but on first glance, I’ll get my own company away from the wall.

I agree but I think it is very creative. It shows at the lease creativity!
