In this culture that emphasizes hyper productivity, it’s easy to identify the Type A personalities that are always trying to do more. But what about the business people that move at a slower pace. Are they the smart ones because they are more productive, not just busy? Are they laid back or just plain lazy?

People that are lazy repeatedly need to be reminded of tasks that need to get done. People who are laid back keep track of what needs to get done and do them on time.

People that are lazy rarely respond timely to requests from others. People who are laid back always respond within 24 hours or set other reasonable expectations.

People that are lazy never earn the respect of their coworkers because they don’t do their fair share. People who are laid back not only are respected, but are invited into a group as a counter balance to craziness.

People who are lazy don’t care what co-workers think. People that are laid back are always concerned about how their behavior effects the productivity of the team.

People that are lazy don’t care what gets done or when.  People who are laid back work on the most important deadlines first.

Which are you: lazy or laid back?
