I am always looking for the latest and greatest tools to share with small businesses. One that I am always on the hunt for myself is a good social media marketing tool. I am currently using Viraltag and I am impressed. Let me explain…

What is Viraltag?

Viraltag allows you to post to all your social media accounts from one place. It supports all major social networks including Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr & Linkedin.

Some of my favorite features include:

  1. Scheduling Your Content. With Viraltag, you create your posts ahead of time and set when they go out. I am particularly active on Twitter where I send out approximately 20 tweets a day to my 17.1K followers. I would NOT be sending 20 tweets a day if this was a manual process. I’d be on twitter twice an hour! Or once an hour and tweeting in my sleep. It’s simple – Viraltag helps you engage with your followers throughout the day while you’re off doing other tasks that keep your small business running.
  2. Recycling Your Content. With Viraltag’s Evergreen feature, you get maximum life out of your posts. It will send out any post you mark as Evergreen multiple times. For example, I have a library of Evergreen tips for getting your small business unstuck. They go out a couple times a day, and Viraltag just keeps cycling through posting the 25 or so that are in there. This 1) takes the pressure off me to create new tweets for each day and 2) gives the content another chance to be seen by more of my followers.
  3. Optimizing Your Content. Viraltag connects with Google Analytics to recommend posting times based off when my audience is most engaged and how my posts have performed in the past. I know that my most important tweets should go out Monday at 6 pm for maximum exposure. This takes a lot of the guess work out of when to schedule content.

For a long time one feature I wish Viraltag had was a master “pause” button that would temporarily stop the posting queue. Sometimes it’s best to be silent on social media, like when you announce you’re unplugging while on vacation or in the wake of a national tragedy.

The good news is that Viraltag’s support team is extremely responsive. I put in a request for this feature a couple months ago and it was rolled out last week. I have since put in another feature request to update the categories of evergreen content in bulk and I have no doubt that they will deliver. I also never hesitate to shoot them a question as I always receive a timely response and even a private demonstration if I need one.

I am only taking advantage of a small fraction of the features Viraltag has to offer and I am still getting my money’s worth. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
