What I Found in Hawaii: Vog and Spam
Most people go to Hawaii for fun in the sun. I was in Honolulu this week on business and I found vog and spam!
First, cloudy…in Hawaii? Never. What I learned was that it was the vog! While being in LA or Chicago, I might find smog, in Hawaii the hazy day was being caused by Volcanic Smog from the Big Island’s volanoes.
I also learned that Hawaii is even one of the biggest consumers of Spam. They fell in love with it during WWII. McDonalds even serves it! Hawaiians have a special way to serve spam- with rice and seaweed. I am even thinking of coming back for The Spam Festival where I have a chance to compete as Mr. Spam!
