When I saw this article in the New York Times by Thomas Friedman, it articulated clearly something I have been saying since the Great Recession started.
Friedman describes that the only way out is through job creation. In order to get more Americans working fast, we need to create new jobs. Good paying jobs only come from start ups, not bail outs.

This makes me think that we need to continue to nurture scientists, and employ them, probably as “public servants”. Second thought is that it’s great to take risks but let’s make sure we are creating new businesses that are truly sustainable and not just catering to the latest fad.
