Why-IndependenceStarting your own business is not for everyone. In fact, I believe it’s only for those of us that can’t work for someone else.

Many people have declared their independence to start their own business, but they then become “slaves” to that business.

Does this sound like the your dream of business ownership?

You work all the time.
You make less than when you worked for someone else.
You pay yourself last.
You do whatever your clients want them to do.
You sacrifice family time for the business.
You work harder than any of  your employees.

Does this seem like independence to you? Isn’t it time you ran your company like a real business?

Here is how to get unstuck.

1. Pay yourself first.

2. Focus on being good at solving one pain for your customers and don’t stray until you are profitable at that.

3. Leverage your employees by not accepting their “monkeys” (To- do’s).

4. Commit to being productive, not just busy. Do the two important things first in the day before email, social media and other meetings. Stop electronic interruptions.

5. Set aside non negotiable time to recharge and be with your family.
