Process needs to trump outcome. This is nearly an impossible goal because regardless of what we say, the common belief is that the ends always justify the means. It doesn’t matter how we get there, as long as the outcome is a good one of us.

During these tough times, it is important to let go of a specific outcome. We need to be flexible or we are bound to end of disappointed or disgruntled much of the time. Be diligent in formulating the best process that you can. Weigh the alternatives carefully, but then take an action that you believe will get you to the outcome you desire. (remember, Bounce!) If you don’t, repeat the process. In this way, you will be much happier with the process and have more outcomes you can enjoy.

When have you let go of the outcome?
