A read in a great article in the Southwest airline magazine that the typical worker only works for 11 minutes without interruption and then it takes 25 minutes to regain our focus. I have repeatedly said that we are raising a generation of Attention Deficit Individuals and I am exhibit A. Multi tasking is totally overrated.

And I am exhibit “B”.
Despite my noble efforts to get better at focusing, things have gotten worse over the years (not better). This is exacerbated by the fact that I now do many more *different* types of things than I used to. Back in the day, I spent most of my time programming (and got a lot done). Now, as an entrepreneur, there’s marketing, finance, sales, support, etc. all of which have small tasks calling for my attention. I find myself flitting from one small task to the next like a squirrel wiht a double-shot of esspresso.
