I set out this morning to Des Moines to speak at a Young Entrepreneurs’ Conference and Iowa State. I guess I am the follow up to the Iowa Caucuses. Of course it was snowing in Iowa which made for a bumpy plane ride. Not my favorite part of the trip.

I landed in the middle of a ranging snowstorm where Des Moines was getting hit with 6 inches of new snow. Half the people were not able to come to the presentation. Those that attended asked some interesting questions in the area of finding the right people for your business. We also talked about the difficult ethical issues every business owner faces.

After the presentation, most of downtown Des Moines shut down. With no room service, I went to the in house massage therapist (you was still there) then slogged my way across the street to one of the town’s best steak houses.
