I did a one day trip to Austin, Texas to be the keynote speaker at the Texas Entrepreneur Conference sponsored by Sherman Ventures. Chris Sherman put together a sell out event for about 350. It was a great event and I met alot of people I had been previously in touch with who helped bring me to this event.
The only downside of one day turn around trips is that I spent 4 hours in taxi cabs, 5 hours on an airplane, and only 6 hours in Austin. But I did have an interesting taxi ride to the airport in Austin. The driver pointed all the “famous” sites. He showed me where they filmed “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and another movie, “Varisty Blues” at his favorite “gentleman’s club” near the airport called, The Landing Strip. I am sorry I missed both of these movies :-)
