I drove to Ann Arbor, Michigan today since it fits within the 250 mile rule. It’s 4 hours from Chicago. I spoke tonight to a very enthusiastic crowd at the ANN ARBOR IT ZONE. Christine, one of the folks there said she really liked my blog and wanted to get a mention..there you go!
I had alot of questions from your audience like “I know you need passion as an entrepreneur, but where do I find my passion?” Also met a guy who had his 15 minutes of fame by being on the cover of Forbes magazine in May 2003. WOW. I asked him if he could get me that gig?
wait! there’s more – – – than 15 minutes of fame for the guy on the Forbes cover. The guy’s too modest and
unassuming – (and he would be quite surprised to learn I had done this) – to have also mentioned that when General Motors goofed up and lost a coveted interview spot ( silly; GM didn’t plan for the August plant closing) on a list to appear in the Wall Street Journal’s ‘Workplaces ” feature section, the Journal’s writer, looking for ideas, went calling on the local Ann Arbor Ch. of Com. which steered her to http://www.menloinstitute.com unique offices. wow. Menlo got the WSJ feature. “To those who have will more be given. ”
btw,…I arrived after you’d spoken; you said “Okay. I’ll start again!”
(Very nice site, Barry.)
