I drove back about halfway from Ann Arbor last nite but stopped because I was too tired. I stayed at a Fairfield Inn. Usually, there is nothing more depressing in travel than staying at a roadside motel where you can hear and touch the cars from your room (you are that close). But beside the sparse furniture in the room, these hotels now have one bright spot: Very High Speed Wireless Internet Connections for FREE! For me, that’s better than free breakfast. Suddenly, the inside of the hotel room didn’t look so bleak!

I’m looking for a motel near Detroit for the night of October 3rd and then one in Ann Arbor for the night of October 4th. Any suggestions?
