When I was at IBM in the 1980’s, they had a department to approve acronyms. I remember the day when all the 4 letter acronyms were gone. I never liked acronyms since I think it keeps us apart from our customers. We speak our own lingo within an industry and no one can understand what we are saying. It is way to clubby.
I found a web site which is actual tells us what certain words mean if they were Acronyms. There are 21 acronyms for ACRONYM!
