I am a Chicago Cubs fan. But it is nearly impossible and very expensive to get tickets. Today, at the last minute, we decided to go to the White Sox game. What a pleasure. We got on the train for $1.75 and 30 minutes later we were at the ball park. We walked up to the ticket window and got 2 seats. They were nose bleeders but mine was $18 and my son’s was $1 (kid’s special). Who cares? We went for food…they even had a special. Hot dog, coke, and chips for $5.00. Now at a ballgame that is a bargain. We stayed all nine innings, the White Sox won and we had a blast! Now this is the way baseball in the city used to be! Hats off to the White Sox marketing!
Baseball the way it used to be…

Hey Barry, Jim Cooke here sending greetings from the West Texas town of Midland. I love baseball too. Just two weeks ago I was in the crowd at a Double AA baseball game in the South Texas town of Corpus Christi, TX. You were there too, and I witnessed only the 3rd perfect game in the 117 year history of the TEXAS League. What a night at Whataburger Field. 3 pitchers combined for this rare feat and it was neat to see. I tried as a fan for Corpus to break up the no no from the stands but my efforts weren’t successful. It was good to get to hear you again and I hope your new book is a big success. God Bless, Jim Cooke
