Well it is finally election day here in the USA. Finally and not a moment too soon. I do not think I could take another week of ads blitzing me where ever I go and I am from Illinois, Obama Country. I can only image what it is like in one of those swing states. The outreach on the internet and through electronic applications (billboards inside of video games, iPhone applications) has been nothing short of amazing.
The Chicago Tribune reported last week that candidates spent $5B in their campaigns this year (lots of money but they also add that we eat $6B of potato chips a year). I guess all this spending is good for the economy (at least someone is spending something).
Maybe now the economy can move on to better economic times since we will know who our leader will be the next 4 years.
