About a week back, I spoke at the annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs Conference in Chicago. Every year, 1500 college students that are interested in entrepreneurship flood the conference with more enthusiasm then you have every seen. I met the young superstar entrepreneurs like John Exley, Matt Wilson, Jared O’Toole, and Michael Simmons.
After talking to the students for awhile, you realize that our future is safe with them. They realize that if they are going to have a strong future, they need to make a job for themselves throught starting a company and not depend on getting one. In the future, we need to build the one asset we all have control over- our personal brand that will make us profitable in the future.
Wish I could have been there! I agree that the future, with some of the gents you have met at CEO is indeed in good shape. Their drive and enthusiasm is necessary to again strengthen this country. Am confident they can and will. Thanks for your comments Barry…I am biased with John, but my bias is well founded. :-)
@george You should be bias and proud of your son!
I hit the same brick wall when I found out about it and had a post, I emailed Atrios and Kos and got notnhig back from either of them. I did get Atriosed once, but that was almost two years ago. Nowt since.
John Exley – congrats buddy! Nice press!
@Dad You’re the best, I wish you could have come to the CEO confernce with me! What an amazing and inspiring time. I love you and can’t wait for Thanksgiving!
@Barry Thanks again for including me in this and for your kind words and vote of confidence in our generation. My roommate has taken a head start on BAM! but I’m excited to get into it and look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon!
@Sam Thank you sir, I really wish you had been there! Are you going to Web 2.0 in NY in a couple weeks?
