Today, I was in Louisville speaking at an Entrepreneurship event sponsored by The Federal Reserve of the St. Louis Region. They had the event in conjunction with the publishing of their "Entrepreneurship’s Ultimate Directory" For Louisville. It was a great event and I was so glad that the The Federal Reserve is using their brand to get involved with entrepreneurship. Rob May of the Business Pundit writes about the event. Here is a few audo clips too! and here too!
The flight down on Halloween night was as they say a nightmare though. Lesson 1: Never fly on Halloween. We were the last flight out of Midway and arrived at the hotel past 2:00 AM. The 7:00 AM breakfast presentation came mighty early!
As a serial entreprenuer myself with 3 successful companies now being run by others much smarter than I and with 4 additional companies I am assisting with their growth, I attended and thoroughly enjoyed meeting and listening to Barry who is someone I can totally relate. He was very entertaining even with little sleep; he said many things we Louisvillians have either experienced or needed to learn. I being the 2000 Ernst & Year Entreprenuer of Year Finalist in the Region, highly recommend Barry at your functions; I have his books and look forward to a weekend of pure pleasure reading them.
