One of my favorite speeches of all time is Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech. While not on the level as what King dreamed for, having a dream in business is critical. I have always said that if you don’t have dreams, you get nightmares. In business, you will have plenty of those too no matter what.
But a business dream is critical because it will keep you going when:
1. Everyone tells you you’re crazy for building this business.
2. Everyone tells you “that’s a really bad idea.”
3. You have had an awful day and no one at home can really understand.
4. When you just can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Chasing wealth won’t sustain you during these times….only your dreams will.
What is your business dream?
I couldn’t agree more, which is why I named my blog Small Business Big Dreams, – I think it’s an apt title for all Entrepreneurs who are just starting out.
For some of us, we may not even have a clearly defined dream yet, but it’s the mere fact that we have A DREAM – not a clearly laid out plan, that spurs us to action and keeps us going through the tough times.
