I will be helping 3 college students this summer travel around the country interviewing people about their passion. Brett Farmiloe at the University of Arizona will be making the trip with a few friends. The purpose in his own words:
"Pursuing a passion and making that dream a reality is something that we all think about doing while the logical side in us seems to hold us back from doing just that. What myself and two friends are doing this summer is traveling around the country to interview people and find out how they have pursued their passion, and to also expand and explore ours. These interviews will look at how failures and obstacles were overcome in their pursuit, where they were at our age, and how they have come to be in the position that they are in today. "
If you are interested in being interviewed on their road trip, please let me know! Some of the results will be published in my next book.
Heard your lunch presentation at Madison, IN. Well done. You were irreverent, entertaining and hit the nail directly on the head on many points. Visit my company’s website: http://www.greenrivercattle.com and you will see my (our) passion. Although my passions of family and agriculture are less common today, it was THE way of life two generations ago. Have your students visit — I will put them to work mending fences, working cattle, sitting down for family meals and, ultimately, discovering new meaning to working and living.
