Being Jewish, these next ten days are special every year. It is the time, between the Jewish New Year and the Day of Atonement, that I ask everyone around me to forgive me. This includes people that I have knowingly hurt but it also includes, more importantly asking forgiveness from those who I have done something harmful unknowingly. Most business days, I strive to be the best person I can and make a positive impact on people’s lives. But there are those days, that I fail to accomplish this and knowing make what must be a negative impact on someone’s life. There are also many things we do that hurt other people or have unintended consequences that we don’t know about..that we never will know about.
So, I will spend time this week talking to people that I know I harmed this past year. But just in case you are not on my list, and I harmed you unknowingly, please forgive me.
