While in Wichita a few weeks back, I met up with Professor David Price again at Washburn University School of Business. He was telling me that he had written a paper a number of years ago about the key success factors in being an entrepreneur. His conclusion?
"There was only one single occurrence/mention of business plans as a critical factor for success to practicing entrepreneurs. It is interesting that business plans – while admittedly a very good process to go through – are at the core of most entrepreneurial programs but appear insignificant “in real life”.
