The flu this time of year can hit an office hard. This will not only be unpleasant for employees, but it can cost a small business productivity and profits. Here are some suggestions on how to minimize the spread of flu in your office:
1. Tell sick employees to stay home even if they are feeling better. There are no medals given out for coming into the office. Most companies are set up that employees can be productive remotely.
2. Clean. If it is financially feasible, use a cleaning service to work on all places where germs accumulate. This includes conference rooms, the reception area and employee keyboards.
3. Get out of the Office. Get employees to take lunch breaks out of the office. Encourage exercise and time away from the office.
