I was on the west coast tour this past week and I spent a few days in Portland. It is a wonderful and comfortable city in Oregon. A few other interesting facts: You can’t pump your own gas here. Oregon law. When I filled up my rental car, I realized I had not had someone pump gas for me for 20 years. It was great. It was raining (or course, it does that up here 155 days a year) so I did not even get out of my car!

I also learned that Portland has more strip clubs per capita than any other city in the country. Maybe because there is nothing else to do when its raining? Maybe its also the reason they have no sales tax?
