On a recent trip to Boston, I noticed an ad in the paper from a local Ford dealer, Herb Chambers. I noticed that he was advertising new cars at a very low price so I took a closer look.  His ad stated that you could buy a 2006 Ford Mustang for $12,935. Upon closer examination, I noticed that part of the discount was to give him cash or trade of $4,000. Now, I guess that does reduce the price, but haven’t I still paid for the $16,935?

Now I like a good sales job just like the next, but this smells of desception to me. It is like saying, those $100 shoes are free if you give me $100.
