I don’t know what it is about me renting cars in Los Angeles. Everytime I go, there is a problem. You remember the disagreement I had with the Thrifty rental car person last time? I saw him again this time and even told him he would be in my book about bad customer service examples! I took his picture!
Well, I rented from Hertz this time. When I went to return the car, they charged me $30 extra for being 34 minutes over 24 hours. I asked if there was a grace period and she told me yes, 29 minutes. I then just looked at her (since this $30 added 50% to the fee of the car rental). She apologized and said that she was sorry, she did not realize how close I was to the grace period and took off the fee.
Thank you Hertz for doing the right thing for good customer service.
