Gasoline is becoming so expensive in the United States that at least one oil company is throwing another ingredient in to help you and your car. BP’s new “Invigorate” Campaign now promises to help “cars run younger for longer”. Their web site tells me how their gasoline “with invigorate” protects and cleans” my car. Well, I guess since I am paying record amounts for gas to support their record profts then they should provide more for my money. At least by using their gas, I will be able to keep my car longer and help the environment.
Nonsense! Which marketing agency dreams up this stuff? Is it that the oil companies feel guilty for making so much money (which as a capitalist, I do not think they should), they have to relieve their guilt by mounting these times of campaigns? Years ago, I use to shop by brand for gas. Now I shop by location and price.
Does BP Invigorate You? Tell me what you think? Am I off?
