One of my favorite movies is The Matrix, where Neo has to visit the Oracle to see if he "is the one". I had vowed at the beginning of this year to invest time and money in taking my speaking and writing to the next level with the release of my next book this fall.
I made a trip on Friday to Reston, VA to visit a well known speaker, author and creative consultant, Sam Horn. I wasn’t disappointed. Sam and I spent the afternoon together discussing many things and she nailed what my focus should be in my writing and speaking endeavors. In hindsight, it was obvious, but Sam was able to connect the dots where no one else could. This is another reminder on why consultants are so important. With their outside perspective and experience, they can show you a path that you can’t see on your own.
