No matter what some say, people are still impressed if a company or individual has 20,000 Likes on their Facebook page or one million followers. They think that this is a sign of their social media success even if most of these are trolls. They think this will sell more product? Is it worth the investment?
An entire industry has risen up to serve companies that want to take a short cut to social media popularity. They create fake user bots or sometimes pay real ones to follow your company.
Companies like Socialyup will charge $48 for 1,000 Likes, $699 for 20,000, $25 for 1,000 Twitter followers, $48 for 1,000 YouTube subscribers, $35 for 1,000 Pinterest followers.
Other companies include Pinfol, FanMeNow, or 500views.com. Alot of people on Fiverr.com also do this work for $5.
Would you buy Fans?
