Iflew to Philadelphia today during the Nor-easter (Rain and Wind) they are having and I was struck with two service experiences where I could not help but feel ripped off. The first was at Starbucks at the airport. I bought water (ugh- $2.89) and apparrently I handed the cashier $4 instead of $3. She counted out the bills that I gave her, dropped the extra $1 into the tip jar and gave me the 11 cents change. I was stunned. Did she think that the extra $1 was a tip not a mistake?
Secondly, at the cash station at my hotel, I learned the maximum you can take out is $200 for a fee of $2.25. I thought this was a daily limit. Not so, if you need to take out more money, you need to pay another $2.25!
