There are many areas of a business that higher profit margins than others. It is good for a business owner to focus on these. The problem is when the customers know that your are gouging them. For example, I just ordered 200 checks from Citibank and they charged me $100. That’s 50 cents to print each check – outrageous! Now I know since the Great Recession, banks are trying to find other ways to make a profit, but this is ridiculous.
When you gouge a customer, it makes them feel like they are being taken advantage of, instead of paying for a valuable service.
