If your company is heading in the right direction, a charismatic leader will get you there faster. Unfortunately, if you’re heading in the wrong direction, charisma will also get you there faster.”
It’s an interesting observation, the difficulty is measuring charisma. A certain level of persuasion is critical for getting any idea off the ground. This is particularly if you, as leader, can visualise the end point, but your staff may struggle to.
With zero persuasion/charisma, you’ve got a different kind of problem – one that will struggle to get anything off the ground!
