In my private life, I swear a lot. I can’t tell you why. It seems to the easiest why to express my feelings. But here is where it becomes a problem for business.

Here, it is quite the opposite. I think it shows a lack of control, and respect for those we work with. It’s just plain lazy!

It seems that most people agree. In a new Careerbuilder survey, while  50% of  employees admit they swear at work, but over 80%  of bosses said a cursing employee appears unprofessional and would less likely promote them.  If I do swear in a business setting, it is very calculated and planned for the shock factor.
