When I traveled on vacation in Australia and New Zealand this summer, I was off the grid. No cell phones. I did carry a digital camera and every now and then I thought I felt it "ring". Thought I was crazy until I read an article in LAPTOP Magazine that says this stuff goes on all the time. It’s called phamton ringing. People reach for their phones when they think they hear a sound similar to ringing in the environment. Some think advertisers try to get our attention by putting popular ringtones in their ads. As the article said- Still Crazy, but Not Alone!
