Every year I write in this space what I am thankful for on Thanksgiving. Here is what is on my list this year:

  1. That my family-  Ethan, Daniel, and Sara are all together in one place for this day.
  2. Cycling out in the sunshine along Lake Michigan.
  3. That more people voted in a midterm election in 2018 than in the last 100 years!
  4. A Democratic controlled House of Representatives to form a divided government. I have come to realize, this is what our founders had in mind with 3 branches of government so people would reach an agreement instead of just partisanship rhetoric.
  5. That the rehab on our apartment is finally done.
  6. That my sister-in-law, Lisa and brother-in-law, Bill host a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration every year at their home!
