I traveled at 5:30am on Saturday to speak at the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Annual Conference in St. Louis. I did not want to disturb my wife so I got dressed in the dark (and it was dark outside). I arrived at the airport screening checkpoint about 6:15am. I did what we all do. Take off my jacket and my shoes. Wasn’t I surprised that when I put my shoes on the conveyor belt that I realized I was wearing two different shoes!

It made for an amusing speech and day. One person even asked me while I was speaking what the "significance" of wearing two different shoes was?
