I admit it- I suffer from Shiny Object Syndrome.
So when there is a new Apple phone, I order it on the first day. There were very high expectations for this new smartphone. With 10m sold the first weekend, did it meet expectations? According to Finances Online, Apple delivered on 7 out of the 10 most wanted new and improved features in the iPhone 6. This is a little deceiving because 1 of the 3 undelivered features — a sapphire screen — was the most wanted. The second most wanted feature was a larger battery, which only comes with the iPhone 6 Plus. The third undelivered feature was the ability to show 3D images
Here is what I liked:
1. The bigger screen. I was surprise how I enjoyed it. The phone does not feel too bulky and still fits in my pocket.
2. Finger print scanner. I am in love with this feature. Since I must check my phone hundreds of times a day, this is a real time saver. It also allows me to truly operate the phone with one hand.
3. NFC Apple Pay. Not yet activated, but I am hopefully this will work well.
4. Side on- off button. Much more natural placement than at the top of the device.
5. Last contacts visible. Press the home button twice and your last contacts will be visible on top of the screen.
6. Selfie timer. Being a novice, using the timer is an easier way to get a selfie.
7. Battery usage monitor. Find out which apps are eating your battery. Overall, battery life seems to be better.
8. Notify me. I love the idea of this feature since it will notify me when some one responds to any email.
Do you buy the new iPhone? Anyone get the 6 Plus? What do you think of either one? Are you planning to buy the Apple watch?
