I have always hated the start up tray in the Windows operating system. It seems that every program wants to be preloaded so it runs faster. But guess what, when they are all preloaded, nothing is running fast. When I started by computer, it could take days for it to boot up.

This was until I went to Mike Lin’s web site that has a few great tools for managing the applications that start. This used in conjunction with Sysinfo’s dictionary on what all the start up files are has really speeded up my computer.
