On the radio show today, I talked with three guests.
Sabrina Parsons, is the CEO for Palo Alto Software, makers of Business Plan Pro. She is the co-author of a book recently published by Entrepreneur Press, 3 Weeks To Startup. We talked about business plans, business start ups and their new software that solves email fatigue. Listen now!
I then talked to one of my favorite authors and journalists, Penelope Trunk whose book, Brazen Careerist: The New Rules for Success has been a huge success. She is a career advice columnist at the Boston Globe. Her syndicated column has run in more than 200 publications. Earlier, she was a software executive, and then she founded three companies. She has been through an IPO, an acquisition and a bankruptcy. In 1993, she played in six tournaments that were sponsored by the Women’s Professional Beach Volleyball tour. Penelope and I talked about why the old career advice- like pay your dues, climb the ladder, and don’t have gaps in your resume – is irrelevant. She talks about the role of focusing in business. We discuss the 5 things to do when you are unemployed. Listen now!
My last guest was Ami Kassar, the Chief Innovation Officer at Advanta Bank and the founder of Ideablob and Bloglive. We talk about building businesses and sharing ideas publically in order to grow your company. Listen now!
