I always say that airplane travel is just reliable enough that we rely on it. I travelled this past Sunday to go to the UK Business Incubation Conference in Sheffield, UK. As they say on Gilligan’s Island, what was suppose to be an 8 hour journey, turned into a 20 hour journey. I connected from Chicago through to Dublin and then onto Manchester UK. Unfortunately because of snow, Manchester was closed and after a long delay on the ground and then circling a long time, we landed in Liverpool. Now besides this airport being called "John Lennon Airport", there was not much of a thrill of being hear after getting little sleep on the plane. I then took a taxi ride to a long train ride to finally arrive in Sheffield, UK some 20 hours. It is amazing to me how we can do without sleep when we have to.

I was glad that the conference was very worthwhile and had an opportunity to present to a good group of people from Europe. The trip back was…filled with more stories to be blogged later.
