I gave the keynote address at the Kellogg School of Managements First Annual Business Plan Competition today. It was a good start to what I hope will be a long tradition.
I found it interesting that the prizes for the competition were just not cash, but services of firms. I think this is wise since a start up business just doesn’t need money but they need guidance. The day also featured An Elevator Pitch Competition where the entrepreneur had to tell their story in one minute or less. We should have to explain our businesses in this fashion so they can be easily understood by anyone!
