Today, I spoke at a great event in Denver, The Small Business Symposium sponsored by alot of organizations in Denver that care about the entrepreneur. It was a amazing gathering of business folks. I was able to give the keynote speech and then talk in one of the breakouts about angel investing.
On the way home, I road for the first time on a Boeing 777. Unusual aircraft to take for a domestic flight. Even in coach, they had an LCD screen on the back of every seat showing a variety of TV shows. What I found most interesting was that a map also tracked the flights progress, arrival time (7:00 PM), etc. Some of the information I could do without was the Speed (600 mph), Altititude (37000 feet), and Outside Temperature (-70F).
But by far the worst part of this little LCD, was the mechanics were fitted below the seat in front of you making for less leg room. They also showed suggested tips on how to exercise in your seat. Ugh! What’s next…ads flashing at you at 37000 feet. They already have ads as you walk down the jetbridge!
