I just finished thumbing through a great little book, The Pocket Encyclopedia of Aggravation by Laura Lee, that really struck me! As it says on the cover, it has “97 things in life that annoy, bother, chafe, disturb, enervate, frustrate, grate, harass, irk, jar, miff, nettle, outrage, peeve, quash, rile, stress out, trouble, upset, vex, worry…you”
Some of my favorites are “Powerpointization of a Nation” and “Movie Trailers that Give Away the Plot”. I also like “Yellow Spots on Public Toilet Seat”. Lee points out their are more germs on a kitchen cutting board than a public toilet seat, so “if you have a choice, lick the toilet seat”.
