A new Dollartree store opened near our house. My 12 year old son was excited. This came on the heels of a Gamestop opening as well. He told me with these two new stores, the "price of our house really increases".

We visited the Dollartree store yesterday. It is a place where "everything is a dollar". They describe the experience as "The Thrill of the Hunt"- I guess finding values. What I found was plenty of things to buy for a dollar that I really didn’t need, but I had to buy them because they were only a dollar. I wanted to get a deal, even if I did not need the product. My son also noted that some things were priced a dollar where in a regular store they would sell for less. Still, I couldn’t help but be giddy that I walked about with 5 bargains for $5. I promptly stored these items when I got home probably never to use them…
