A new parking meter device if ever installed will strike a new sense of fairness into the parking wars. Photo Violation Technologies plans to install new meters (currently testing in Niagara Falls, NY, San Francisco and Vancouver) which will allow not only allow you to pay by credit card but will call you when your time is up and allow you to extend the time by paying over your cell phone! But, the device also takes a picture of your license plate if you fail to pay the meter or the fine.
