I remember when GameStop opened up near our house, my youngest son told me how it increased the value of our home! My son goes there when he has enough money to buy his XBOX 360 games. On a trip today, he bought a game that cost $50 with his savings. He had forgotten his membership card (which is a fee) which entitles hom to 10% off games. The person behind the counter said that he had to have his card or number because there was no way they could look him up alphabetically or by address or phone number.

I began to think- is this a poorly designed data base or just a way not to give the 10% off to people that have already bought a membership? You would think that Gamestop would support its frequent buyers better. When was the last time you went to a place and did not have your card and they could not look you up? Me, never.
