Today, we had a very unusual show. I have spent countless hours giving business owners and entrepreneurs advice on ways to help themselves in their business. We have focused in the past on marketing, sales, operations, product development and finance. In a recession, we need to pull out all the stops and look everywhere for that edge or that extra something that will give us a boost. On the show todaywe turned our attention to perhaps the unorthodox or less traveled paths to helping your business. How can  Zen, Feng Shui, Astrology or Prayer help your business.

My first guest was Regina Leeds– she is the NY Times Best selling author of 5 books including the “Zen of Organizing” and now “One Year to an Organized Work Life”. We talk about:

1. What is ‘zen organizing?”  and how can it help us in our work lives.
2. Why do so many people struggle with a lack of order in their lives?
3. How can being organized help you in your business?

My next guest talked about how Feng Shui can help our businesses. After spending 13 years as a Certified Financial Planner managing money for wealthy business people, Chriss Barr left the world of finance to open up an investment research firm.  Using Feng Shui to set up her office she landed over $120,000 in business in less than 3 months without spending a dime on marketing.

We talked about:
1.  What feng shui is.
2.  How to position your desk to attract more success.
3. Where to put your files to attract more clients
4. Why your personal feng shui is more powerful than general feng shui.

I then talked witha business astrologer. Jeff Harman who utilizes the same classical ancient techniques trusted by court astrologers throughout Europe, the Middle East, and India. He practices in Beverly Hills and Tucson. Jeff is a member of the International Society of Business Astrologers.

We talked about:
1. Astrological tips for starting a business.
2. How do you select your business location using astrology.
3. How do your personal cycles affect your business
4 . What his vision of what lies ahead for the economy

A lot of people use prayer during tough times. As the famous WWII saying goes- “there are no atheists in foxholes”. So how can prayer help us during these times? I met Father John at one of my long time clients when he was blessing their business. He is a priest at a Russian Orthodox church in Chicago. I asked him:

1. When you are asked to come bless a business, what do you do?
2. How do you help businesses through Prayer.
3. What role does prayer have in your biz life.

Listen to the show!
